Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said that he welcomes verdict of the High Court overturning the ordinance issued by the state government on the dismissal of the Andhra Pradesh state election commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar.
Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said that he welcomes verdict of the High Court overturning the ordinance issued by the state government on the dismissal of the Andhra Pradesh state election commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar. He commented that the verdict has prevailed the democracy in the state. He said that the people's confidence in the democratic process has been restored.
Ramesh Kumar has been targeted because he has postponed the local body elections. The decision of Ramesh Kumar to postpone the local body elections is good move as he has realised the dangers of the coronavirus pandemic. He said that while everyone are concerned with the coronavirus, the government didn't even consider the articles contained in the constitution and just focused on the process of removal of the election commissioner.
Pawan Kalyan said the government should learn a lesson by this verdict that it is necessary to act in accordance with the Constitution and the law. He asserted that the there is judiciary which protects the constitution from the dictatorship. Pawan Kalyan said the bureaucracy should educate the rulers about the constitution and the law else, it is the responsibility of the authorities to be answerable before the judiciary.
