Deepika Padukone 'listening to newer scripts via video conferencing' amid lockdown
Deepika Padukone is having script reading sessions with filmmakers via video call.
by DNA Web TeamA few days back, Nikkhil Advani had taken to his social media pages and shared a screenshot of a video call with the team of Bell Bottom including the lead actor Akshay Kumar. The video call was for the final script reading session before the shoot begins post lockdown in the country. It's been more than two months the shoot of films have been stalled, but that hasn't stopped filmmakers and actors discussing their upcoming projects.
Now as per latest reports, Deepika Padukone is also engaging in online script narrations amid lockdown. She is interacting with filmmakers and locking scripts for her forthcoming projects. Talking about the same, a source stated, "Deepika has been working on her projects that are already announced and is also listening to newer scripts via video conferencing to decide her next projects."
Meanwhile, Deepika would have been currently shooting for Shakun Batra directorial in Sri Lanka. Sharing about it, the source added, "Had it not been for the lockdown, Deepika would have currently been in Sri Lanka, shooting for Shakun Batra's untitled next that also stars actors Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday."
Earlier during an interaction with Rajeev Masand, when Deepika was asked about spending lockdown with husband and actor Ranveer Singh, she had said, "I have to say, he’s the easiest person to live with, in this scenario. He’s sleeping for about 20 hours, which allows me time to do things that I want to do. For the four hours that he’s awake, we’re either watching a movie, eating, exercising. He’s a real joy to be with at this time. No demands, no hassles, he’s very easy."
