THE Navotas City Government will place persons confirmed positive for coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 who were still under home quarantine to the community isolation facility (CIF) while those who have higher risk for severe complications due to certain health conditions will be admitted to Navotas City Hospital.

Mayor Toby Tiangco said city health workers will start to fetch persons with confirmed cases of deadly virus from their homes except for frontliners who knew how to try to recover and isolate themselves from their families.

Earlier, the Navotas city government converted the four-story building of Navotas National High School into a community isolation facility with 100-bed capacity.

The first floor is intended for pregnant or lactating mothers who are suspect or probable cases; the second and third floors are for other suspect or probable COVID-19 patients; and the fourth floor is exclusive for positive cases with mild symptoms.

As of May 28, 2020, the City of Navotas recorded a total of 177 confirmed cases of COVID-19, wherein 53 recovered, 40 under home quarantine, 55 were admitted in hospitals and 29 reported died from deadly virus.

Meanwhile, the city recorded 625 persons under monitoring, 165 suspected cases and 221 probable cases.
