TAMPA, Fla. — Florida's 2020 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday will begin Friday, May 29 and lasts through Thursday, June 4.

During the sales tax holiday period, as approved by the Florida Legislature this spring, qualifying items related to disaster preparedness are exempt from sales tax.

The sale tax holiday does not apply to the rental or repair of any of the qualifying items nor does it apply to any items bought in a theme park, entertainment complex, public lodging establishment or airport.
