How to use the toilet at a friend's house under new lockdown rules for England
The rules across England will change from Monday
by Neil ShawLockdown rules in England will change from Monday allowing you to have up to six people at a time visit your home.
But there are strict rules that go along with the changes - including no physical contact, people must stay two metres apart at all time and no over night stays.
All meetings, parties and events must also happen outside - with people who are not members of your household only allowed inside for one of two reasons.
The first is to get to a garden, and the second is to visit a toilet.
But even then there are strict rules.
The Chief Medical Officer for England Professor Chris Whitty says when visiting the toilet at a friends house you must -
Wash your hands 'all the way through . This would mean washing your hands before you enter the house or as soon as you enter the house, to avoid contaminating any surfaces.
You should also wash your hands before you leave the house, again to avoid contamination and to remove any viral particles you have picked up.
As always, wash with soap and water for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available use an alcohol based hand gel.
Wipe down all surfaces. Anything you touch should be cleaned to remove any potential contamination. Avoid touching anything unnecessarily, but anything you do touch should be cleaned. This includes walls, doors, door handles, the toilet, the sink and taps.
Anti-viral cleaning wipes should be effective at removing coronavirus from surfaces.
It is also worth noting that a small study in March, published by the CDC in the USA, found that shoes can be a carrier for the Covid-19 virus.
Half of the soles of shoes they studied in samples from a hospital ICU were carrying the virus.
To avoid tracking any virus - and other dirt and bacteria - through the house, it may be necessary to remove your shoes before going inside.
Professor Chris Whitty: "If someone was to go into the loo, it is absolutely critical that they wipe everything down, wash their hands all the way through."
He said that good hygiene is crucial once people start being more sociable.
Boris Johnson said more guidance will follow, he said everyone should wash their hands and exercise common sense, and he said you should avoiding see too many people from different househoklkds 'in quick succession'.
Vulnerable people who have bee told to 'shield' are not included in loosening the lockdown rules.
