OKC business owner arrested with illegal pot plants after fatal shooting

An Oklahoma City business owner was arrested on a complaint of illegal possession of $1.5 million worth of marijuana after police responded to a fatal shooting.

According to authorities, police responded to a shooting at a business in the 1800 block of 22nd street where business owner Larue Bratcher shot Daniel Hardwick while the latter allegedly attempted to break into the business at 1:15 a.m. Thursday.

Police later found 480 marijuana plants grown by Bratcher without proper license, according to authorities. Bratcher was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on a complaint of illegal cultivation of marijuana.

The Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office will decide if Bratcher will be charged with homicide, according to authorities.
