Rachel Lindsay Says She Doesn’t Think Hannah Brown Will Change After N-Word Scandal – Here’s Why!
by Ashley MitchellHannah Brown has been in hot water over singing the N-word during an IG Live session and continues to receive criticism even after she apologized and promised to ‘do better!’ But, fellow Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay is not convinced that she’s going to change!
As you may know by now, Lindsay has been very vocal about her opinion on the whole thing, revealing that she was very disappointed by Brown’s apology.
The reason for that was that she released a written statement instead of going live as promised.
Apparently, Hannah even told Rachel that a written apology would feel ‘insincere’ and yet still went with that option in the end!
While on the Higher Learning With Van Lathan and Rachel Lindsay podcast earlier today, the season 13 Bachelorette explained why she thought Hannah wouldn’t change.
She argued that the other reality TV star is ‘empowered by an audience’ as her supporters can be pretty ‘intense.’
Therefore, Rachel shared that she is ‘going to go right back to doing what she was doing before.’
Lindsay revealed that she and Brown have not been in contact since before she dropped that insufficient apology.
Before that, Hannah actually reached out to Rachel to ask for her advice on how to deal with her mistake.
Rachel was very helpful and supportive of a live apology that she would also join later on for a more in depth discussion about that word and why it’s not right for non-black people to say it.
However, Hannah did not use this opportunity to bring awareness properly and took the easy way out instead!
Her apology shared on her IG Stories reads: ‘I owe you all a major apology. There’s no excuse and I will not justify what I said. I’ve read your messages and seen the hurt that I have caused. I own it all. I am terribly sorry and know that whether in public or private this language is unacceptable. I promise to do better.’
