Karnataka: No test if you are in institutional isolation for 7 days and show no symptoms

by ET BureauBENGALURU: Karnataka will allow home quarantine without a Covid-19 test for asymptomatic people who have completed seven days of institutional quarantine. Health department in its latest circular has made this provision in an attempt to reduce the burden on testing resources.

Over the past few days Karnataka has relaxed institutional quarantine norms for international and inter-state travelers from 14 days to seven days. The state reported 115 new positive cases on Thursday taking the total infection to 2,533.
The number of discharges is 53 taking the total discharges to 834. Most cases were reported in Udupi (29), and Dakshina Kannada (24).
