Advantech obtains rush orders for medical equipment

by

Advantech has recently received strong rush orders for computing devices used in medical equipment from China and the US in the wake of coronavirus pandemic, according to company chairman KC Liu.

However, orders for devices used in gaming machines and retail equipment have been hindered by the epidemic, Liu said.

Advantech holds optimistic long-term outlook about AI and IoT business opportunities arising from enterprise's digital transformation, Liu noted.

Advantech's shareholders, at the meeting on May 28, approved Wesley Liu, KC Liu's son, to become a director of the company.

The operation of Advantech will remain unchanged, jointly handled by president of general management Eric Chen, president of embedded IoT Miller Chang and president of industrial IoT Linda Tsai, KC Liu indicated.
