Connecticut woman allegedly spits in face of shopper going wrong way in one-way aisle

by

A Connecticut woman was arrested for allegedly spitting in the face of a man who was disobeying a supermarket’s one-way aisle direction, a report said.

Martine Shanchuk, of Sandy Hook, tried to force the shopper to comply with Newtown’s Big Y directive, which was put in place to help promote social distancing, Patch.com reported, citing police.

Shanchuk confronted the man at the store on May 18 and told him to turn around, police said.

When he refused, Shanchuk stood in the middle of the aisle to prevent him from passing and started screaming, according to an arrest complaint.

She then took off her mask and spat in his face, police said.

Police charged Shanchuk with breach of peace. She has a July court hearing.
