English Premier League Football Is Set To Restart On June 17

If EPL resumes from June, it will be played after a break of almost 3 months. The matches will be played in an empty stadium as instructed by the authorities.

New Delhi: English Premier League football is set to restart on June 17 after a three-month shutdown. All the remaining 92 games will be televised but will be played before empty stands.


Aston Villa vs Sheffield United and Manchester City vs Arsenal is scheduled to be the first two games when the Premier League resumes next month before the first full round of matches starting June 19.


The starting date is provisional and resumption is set provided all safety measures are in place.


Earlier, the EPL was stopped for the COVID-19 situation in England and if the matches resume again on June 17, it will start after a break of almost 3 months.
