On Thursday night, these migrant worker families, including women and children, desperate to go to their native places in Odisha were found on the road in Uppal.

On receiving information, the Uppal police informed the senior officials and sought their permission to help the stranded workers. Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat immediately asked the Uppal police to contact the management of Bhoomika Foundation.

Responding to the request, a team of Bhoomika Foundation arranged two buses for the migrants to reach their destination. While some were sent in a bus from Uppal, others were shifted to Medchal, to be sent in another bus.
