7-months-old baby dies of COVID-19 in Sangareddy

by TelanganaTodaySangareddy: A 7-month-old girl, who died at Niloufer Hospital on Wednesday while undergoing treatment, was COVID-19 positive as her swab result revealed on Thursday.
The girl, a native of Hathnora Mandal headquarters in Sangareddy district, was taken to Niloufer after she took ill. She died on Wednesday and her funeral was held the following day on Thursday amid a huge gathering of villagers and relatives. The officials are working on tracing close contacts of the girl and hospital staff of Niloufer to quarantine them.
Meanwhile, one person tested positive for COVID-19 at Musanagar in Zaheerabad town in Sangareddy district. The officials declared the colony as a Red Zone and sprayed the disinfectants.
Two test positive for COVID-19 in Medak district:
Meanwhile, a 4-year-old boy, a native of Kodapaka villge in Papannapet Mandal, was tested positive for COVID-19. While the boy was taken ill, the boy’s parents took him to a private hospital where the doctors advised them to shift him to Gandhi Hospital. Another 55-year-old man, a native of Chegunta has also tested for COVID-19. The man, who visited a private hospital for treatment, was advised to visit Gandhi Hospital Secunderabad as he was suffering from multiple symptoms. The officials have sprayed the disinfectants where the positive cases reported and the moment of the people was restricted in the area with immediate effect.
