Nidhhi Agerwal was born to be a movie star. Even as a little girl, she knew she would be an actor someday. “When I watched a film for the first time, I knew in that moment I wanted to be an actor. I just didn’t know how to do it as I didn’t know anyone in the film industry,” shares the beauty.

Nidhhi took up modelling, won beauty contests and landed an opportunity to star in the Bollywood film Munna Michael opposite action star Tiger Shroff. She won Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut. Nidhhi, who even trained in ballet for eight years, soon had her Telugu debut with Savyasachi featuring Naga Chaitanya.

She then starred in Puri Jagannadh’s directorial venture iSmart Shankar opposite Ram Pothineni. It was a huge success. “My experience working in Telugu cinema is amazing. I got to learn a new language and explore a new industry. I want to do Hindi films, but i’ve always wanted to work in South as well since I’m from Bengaluru. The Telugu audience is extremely loving,” shares the actor.

So how is Nidhhi passing time in lockdown? “I am playing PUBG and I just won a chicken dinner! Although I am a vegetarian,” she laughs and adds, “I am doing a couple of online acting courses, exercising, meditating, learning Tamil, getting better at speaking Telugu and watching a lot of films and TV shows. I am eating and sleeping well. I am getting to do a lot of things I wouldn’t when I was busy.”

There is no doubt that Nidhhi is a stunner. What’s her beauty and fitness regime like? “I use a doctor-recommended face wash. I then use a day serum from Dior, moisturiser and sun block. I prefer light makeup. Beauty is being simple for me,” she shares.

“I drink a lot of water. Right now, I am upping my intake of Vitamin C as it increases immunity. I eat a lot of greens and fruits. I am a vegetarian by choice as I like eating clean. I love my carbs so I eat idli for breakfast and then rice for lunch. I make sure I get enough nutrients as well. The reason I can eat anything I want to is because I work out. I put on weight if I don’t exercise. I do a lot of weight training and dance is my cardio,” she adds.

Nidhhi’s next project Bhoomi is set to release post lockdown and will mark her debut  in Tamil films. She also has a film with Ashok Galla in her kitty.
