Grooming Of Sikh Girls In UK & The Need For A Listening Culture

Why are Sikh girls in UK targeted for grooming? Because the predators realize that there is a heavy culture of pride and shame. They know that if a girl comes out to her family that she's been caught in a compromising position she is likely to not be listened to and therefor she will be easy to blackmail and manipulate. 

Prof. Virdee implores Sikh families to create a family culture where our girls feel safe, and are safe, to speak the truth whatever it might be. The ethic of family honor has gone too far in some ways and needs to be healed with empathy and listening. Let us be present for our daughters and sisters.
