Madonna slammed over video of son dancing to 'stamp out racism' after George Floyd death
by James Brinsford, https://www.facebook.com/james.brinsfordMadonna has been criticised on social media after she posted a video of her teenage son dancing to 'stamp out racism'.
The 61-year-old singer shared a video of her 14-year-old son David Banda busting some moves to Michael Jackson's 'They Don't Care About Us'.
The teen shows off some serious MJ moves in the video as David dances in the kitchen, with Madonna writing that this was in tribute to George Floyd, whose death has prompted consternation on both sides of the Atlantic.
The controversial singer captioned the video on Twitter : "Brutal murder travels around the world my son David Dances to honor and pay tribute to George and His Family and all Acts of Racism and Discrimination that happen on a daily basis in America. #davidbanda#JusticeforGeorgeFloyd#MichaelJackson "
Many followers hit out at the 'Like a Prayer' singer, dismissing the tribute.
One Twitter user wrote: "Wow. Racism is gone. Thank you girl."
Another sarcastically commented: "Thank you so much. I’m so glad he was able to stomp out racism with this deeply moving tribute. Y’all’s hard work and sacrifice to the cause...how can we ever repay you?"
A third mocked the singer, tweeting: "I really appreciate you for allowing your son to dance away the racism for us."
A horrifying video that went viral shows Mr Floyd, 46, saying he couldn't breathe as white officer Derek Chavin pressed his knee down onto his neck.
He died in hospital a short time after passing out on the ground during his arrest in Minneapolis on Monday.
Madonna's 'tribute' follows her sharing a video on Instagram of herself dancing on one leg, which came after she caused controversy last week with an X-rated post in which she posed in a completely see-through bra and skimpy black knickers.
This time she was fully clothed in her latest offering, wearing black trousers with what appeared to be a pair of white chaps on top.
She teamed the quirky look with a black and red leather jacket, a patterned top and a leather biker hat.
