VIDEO: Jose Mourinho oversees Spurs training ahead of PL return
by BeSoccerJose Mourinho oversaw Spurs' training session after it was confirmed that the Premier League will return on June 17. Tottenham will not play until the weekend though.
The Premier League has been suspended since the middle of March due to the coronavirus pandemic. The league will resume on 17th June with Man City v Arsenal and Aston Villa v Sheffield United.
Earlier this week, clubs began contact training, and so tackling was also permitted. There have not been any confirmed cases of coronavirus among Tottenham's players and staff so far although some clubs have decided to keep that information secret. In the video, Jose Mourinho takes charge of Spurs' training session for the first time since the official restart date was announced.
Tottenham drew 1-1 at Burnley just before the coronavirus break and their next fixture is at home to Man Utd. Mourinho's men are currently eighth in the league and just four points off a CL spot if Man City's UEFA ban is unsuccessful.
