Derby County were promoted to the Premier League after winning the 2007 Championship play-off final against West Brom. Rams midfielder Stephen Pearson scored the only goal of the game.

The Championship play-off final is one of the most eagerly awaited fixtures on the footballing calendar. Back in 2007, Derby and West Brom met at Wembley to decide the final team to be promoted to the Premier League.

The match looked like it was going to end goalless, but then in the 61st minute, Stephen Pearson popped up for the Rams to make it 1-0 after Giles Barnes' cross. That was the only goal of the game and Billy Davies' men were promoted to the Premier League alongside Sunderland and Birmingham. It was also referee Graham Poll's final match before retiring. Check out Pearson's goal in the video above!
