C’garh appoints 361 new doctors

The Chhattisgarh government appointed 361 new doctors in government hospitals across the state on Thursday and said 200 more will follow.

The newly appointed doctors will serve at Government Medical College Hospitals, District Hospitals, Civil Hospitals, Community Health Centres and Maternal-Child Specialised Hospitals along with designated Covid-19 Hospitals, a statement from the Health and Family Welfare Department said.

Welcoming the newly appointed doctors, Health and Family Welfare Minister T. S. Singh Deo said in a     statement that they are      starting a new career in the health sector.

By linking up with the Health Department, it will become a bigger team which will fight the coronavirus pandemic in the state, he said.

“These young doctors will play an active role by serving in hospitals, rural areas and remotest health centres. They will extend health services, both Covid-19 related and non-Covid diseases,” he said.

The Minister said 200 more doctors will be soon appointed.
