45-yr-old woman beaten to death by husband over ‘illicit relationship’

Suspecting illicit relationship, a 45-year-old woman was beaten to death by her husband at Latifpura village under Berasia police station area on Wednesday.

Police said that Babulal, husband of the deceased Usha Bai, found her at Suresh’s house on Wednesday and started fighting with his wife, which soon turned physical after he started beating her with a wooden stick.Usha’s son was present at the time of the incident and alerted the neighbours but before they could rescue she was beaten to death.

Police were informed and on the receipt of the information, a police team reached the spot and after preliminary investigation, sent the body for the post-mortem.During the investigation, the police found that the deceased Usha’s  husband Babulal had beaten her brutally, which proved fatal. The accused was nabbed by the police in the investigation.The accused used to work as a labour.

Few months ago Suresh came to live in the area and his wife became acquainted with him and accused was aware that she was having relationship with him.

The neighbours of the deceased told the police that the couple used to fight a lot and the reason behind the fight was the suspicion of the accused over Usha.

On the day of incident fight occurred, but the fight proved fatal for Usha.The accused used to fight with the deceased frequently and would beat her. The police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
