Covid-19: 29 new patients detected

Twenty-nine fresh coronavirus positive cases were reported across Chhattisgarh on Thursday, health officials said. 

Mungeli district was the hotspot with 11 cases. Likewise, there were eight cases in Jashpur, four in Bilaspur, three in Kanker, two in Raigarh and one in Korea district, Dr Akhilesh Tripathi from the state Covid-19 Control and Command Centre said.

Currently there are 315 Covid-19 patients in Chhattisgarh.

These include 88 at AIIMS Raipur, 94 at Covid Hospital Mana Raipur, 52 at ovid Hospital Bilaspur, 24 at Medical College Ambikapur, 19 at Medical College Raigarh, 34 in Rajnandgaon Medical College and four in Jagdalpur Medical College, Tripathi said.

According to Health Department officials, on Thursday 323 passengers landed at the Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur. Similarly, 724 labourers returned to Chhattisgarh by trains. After their health was checked, they have been quarantined.
