SC's order about stranded migrants workers is a good step
Dear Editor,.
It is noticeable to say that a three-judge bench of the Supreme Court on May 26 said there have been "Inadequacies and certain lapses" on the part of the Central and State governments in dealing with the migrant workers crisis during the lockdown. Newspaper reports and other media reports have been continuously showing the unfortunate and miserable conditions of migrant workers walking on the foot and cycling for the long distance", the Court stated. Adding "Effective concentrated efforts were required to redeem the situation".
So I suppose that, although, SC's this step is late, but is better, because lakhs of people are forced on the roads and footpaths to walk on the foot, no one is ready to help them except some people. Really, it was time to help them, but it shouldn't happen, on which, many of them have died because of starvation, long distance and accidents. Now the govt must stand to help them.
