Record will be her 15th studio album

Kylie Minogue has been recording her latest album in her living room during coronavirus lockdown

Speaking to PA, the Australian singer explained that she hadn’t allowed self-isolation to prevent her from working and has been recording her new album at home.

“I’ve been really busy, setting up a home studio (AKA, my lounge room!) and learning so much about remote recording,” she said.

“It’s been a steep learning curve for all the team as there are technical obstacles to navigate but I’m so thankful to be able to continue work on my album in this way.

Minogue, 52, continued: “I’ve been riding the emotional wave along with the rest of the world, but creativity has been a big help.”

The new record will be the singer’s 15th studio album and follows on from 2018’s country-inspired Golden, which topped the UK album charts.

Last week, the president of Minogue’s record label BMG confirmed that the singer was taking control of her music during lockdown and had been teaching herself to use production software Logic in order to engineer her own vocals.
