Leipzig Stumble On Home Soil

RB Leipzig 2-2 Hertha Berlin

RB Leipzig missed the chance to move within a point of second-place Borussia Dortmund after drawing 2-2 at home to Hertha Berlin.

After Marko Grujic put the visitors ahead in the ninth, the hosts hit back through Lukas Klostermann on 24 minutes before Patrik Schick completed the turnaround in the 68th minute while Leipzig also had Marcel Halstenberg sent off in the 63rd minute.

However, Hertha managed to grab a share of the spoils after Krzysztof Piątek converted a penalty with eight minutes left in the contest.

Hoffenheim 3-1 Koln

Hoffenheim boosted their top six hopes with a 3-1 triumph over Koln at the PreZero Arena on Wednesday night.

Christoph Baumgartner bagged a brace to put the hosts two goals up before Steven Zuber extended the lead shortly after the halftime break.

Florian Kainz pulled one back on the hour mark, but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation while both sides finish with 10 men as Hoffenheim's  Benjamin Hubner and Koln's Sebastiaan Bornauw given their marching orders.

Fortuna Dusseldorf 2-1 Schalke

Fortuna Dusseldorf rallied from behind to claim a 2-1 victory over struggling Schalke at the Merkur Spiel-Arena.

After a scoreless first half, Weston McKennie have Schalke the lead in the 53rd minute after being set up by Bastian Oczipka.

Rouwen Hennings put the hosts back on level terms 10 minutes later before Kenan Karaman sucured the winning goal on 68 minutes.

Augsburg 0-0 Paderborn

Paderborn extended their winless in the Bundesliga to nine matches following their goalless drw with Augsburg on Wednesday evening.

Union Berlin 1-1 Mainz

Union Berlin have now gone five games without a win in the German top flight after being held to a 1-1 draw by Mainz.

The visitors broke the deadlock after 13 minutes with his first league goal of the season, while Berlin bagged the equaliser in the 33rd minute through Marcus Ingvartsen.

While there were no more goals, Berlin did finish the game with 10 men when Robert Andrich was sent off in the 41st minute for picking up a second yellow card.
