The Excellent Sounding Bose Soundbar 500 Is Now $499

The Bose Soundbar 500 with Amazon Alexa is currently on sale for just $499.

That is still pretty pricey for a soundbar but this is a Bose soundbar and its products never really go on sale. And this one is good for about $50 off. That's the lowest we've seen since Black Friday last year.

Bose Soundbar 500 is a pretty impressive sound bar, to be honest. This one offers up some really good sounding audio, so you're going to really level up your home theater. Of course, that isn't hard if you don't already have a sound bar. Since the speakers built into your TV are usually pretty terrible. And that's because it's the last thing on a TV makers list.

This sound bar has the Bose signature sound. Which sounds very full, with some rich mids and highs and some boomy bass. But the bass is not overpowering, thankfully.

As mentioned, the Bose Soundbar 500 does work with Amazon Alexa and also Google Assistant. Now they are not built-in. So the way this works is that you'll need an Echo or Google Home in your home, and you can use either assistant to play music on the Bose Soundbar 500. Or raise the volume and so forth.

The Bose Soundbar 500 does also have Apple AirPlay 2. Unfortunately, there's no Chromecast support here. Which is a bit surprising, considering there is Google Assistant available. There is WiFi and Bluetooth though.

Chromecast isn't a big deal though, unless you really wanted to Cast music to this speaker. It's not like an Android TV, where you can Cast content to your TV from this speaker. So not a dealbreaker for most people.
