May 28th has been commemorated as the International Day of Action for Women's Health. Women take on many roles in their lifetime, sometimes putting their health in the backseat while putting everyone else's health in the forefront. Health care and good food go hand in hand, so take action and follow my tips:

Drink enough water: I ask the smart woman to drink the most powerful beverage – water. About 2 liters daily water is an instant refresher and is the best makeover for your skin and hair.

Organised: I want every woman to plan and organise meals from beforehand preventing bad eating habits like binge eating junk.

Cook: To triumph in life a woman knows how to maintain a hygienic kitchen, cook and plan a balanced meal. I ask every woman to not follow FAD diets.

Eat real: I insist that every woman must consciously eat fresh, local, seasonal and organic produce and sees that her family does to. Herbs and spices are part of my daily food life and should be of everyone. I urge you to be sharp enough to avoid foods that harm - white flour, white sugar, processed foods, fried food, aerated drinks and alcohol.

Move their body: Move your body or lose your body so whether at home or work, make sure you are constantly on the move by frequently getting up and doing chores or taking time out to exercise I want all you women to take action now and get up and be on the goLet's go of stress: Women are constantly multitasking leaving no time to breathe and getting wound up causing stress. This is a real killer and identifying your stress triggers can help your health in a good way. Deep breathing, chewing on tulsi leaves, sipping on chamomile herbal infusions keep ones stress levels down. Avoid trigger foods like sugar, aerated drinks and excess caffeine.

Emotions: I am sure that smart women know that food is not the go to whether your blood boils or when you are over the moon or down in dumps. She knows how to eat mindfully being cheerful. Believe me when I say smart food choices will keep you more emotionally stable.

Sleep well: The importance of a good night's sleep for peak performance and automatically cutting out sugar and caffeine especially post 4 pm is necessary. Keep gap of 2 hours minimum after food and before bedtime. Sleep at least half an hour before midnight.

Knows her body: I say the clever woman knows when to rest and when to be up and about. She knows to not remain hungry till she is ravenously hungry. I tell the smart women to eat slowly, relish your food and not stuff the stomach mindlessly.
