Little Boy Blue viewers were disgusted after the final instalment in the devastating drama series.

ITV's BAFTA award winning drama has been shown on TV again this week and has proven to be just as heartbreaking on a repeat viewing.

The fact-based crime series was originally broadcast in 2017, but it returned to our screens this week to be shown over four consecutive nights.

The four-part show follows the tragic August 2007 shooting of 11-year-old Rhys Jones and highlights the police investigation that followed to bring his killers to justice.

It explores the devastating impact the senseless murder had on Rhys' parents, Melanie and Steve as well as how the killing impacted the whole of Liverpool.

Tonight's episode was the final instalment in the gripping and tense drama, which focused on the trial of the young Everton supporter's killers.

Viewers watched in horror while Rhy's devastated parents sat in court as their son's killer and his associates smirked, giggled, chatted and threw paper aeroplanes in the dock.

When they are convicted, one of them says: "All this for some f***ing kid."

Viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Gemma said: "These court scenes are disgusting".

Ryan said: "Tragic, heart breaking ... unimaginable".

Sarah commented: "The way those scumbags acted in court was just disgusting".

Cheryl added: "Unreal".

One viewer said: "Those vile scumbags".

Christine said: "An 11 year olds death & they're sat laughing & messing about in court..."

Others branded the perpetrators "scummy" and said they were behaving like "animals" which made their "blood boil".
