Capcom’s ‘Resident Evil’ Ambassador Program Revealing “Exciting” Announcement June 10

by

UPDATE: Per the folks at Biohazard Declassified, while this announcement might be RE8 related, it seems more likely that the announcement is related to Gold members being upgraded to ‘Platinum’ status on the Ambassador program, which will make them a ‘full Resident Evil Ambassador’. However, given the leaks surrounding RE8 releasing in 2021, and the fact that we could see something later this summer related to it (according to Biohazard Declassified’s sources, the trailer is “ready to go”), this shouldn’t be ruled out.

It looks as if we might not have to wait long for the long-rumoured Resident Evil 8 or the Resident Evil 4 remake. Via PlayStation Universe, Capcom’s Resident Evil Ambassador Program is gearing up for a big announcement next month, according to a new email sent out to Gold members.

One recipient, Twitter user Kula_9S85, posted an image of the email, which roughly translated, reads: “The sentence being judged appears on the Ambassador page. The result announcement is exciting.” Note that the reveal is scheduled for June 10, which depending on the time of day would be June 9 or June 10 for Western countries.

Making things interesting is that June 10 falls in the second week of June, which happens to be when Xbox is reportedly set to hold their big Summer Games Fest event. Of course, the other big question is just what Capcom is planning to reveal….
