Netanyahu writes letter in Torah in memory of Amit Ben Yigal - Inside Israel
Prime Minister visits family of soldier who was killed in a block-throwing attack two weeks ago.
by Arutz Sheva StaffPrime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met yesterday with the family of IDF Sergeant Amit Ben Yigal and wrote a letter in a Torah scroll being written in Ben Amit's memory.
Netanyahu said during the meeting, "It's a hard thing to understand his power - I experienced it as a bereaved brother and saw my parents experience it. My wife who met you was also very impressed with you and Amit."
"I'm glad I have the right to write a letter here in the Torah scroll in memory of Amit - this is something that connects everything. I thank you for your hospitality," the Prime Minister added.
Ben Yigal was killed in a block-throwing attack during an IDF operation in the Palestinian Authority-controlled town of Ya'abed two weeks ago.
Ten days ago, Prime Minister Netanyahu's wife, Sara Netanyahu, visited the Ben Yigal family.
