Serious delays after two car crash at busy Gold Coast intersection

Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a nasty crash on local roads this morning.

Two cars collided at the intersection of Southport Nerang Road and Ashmore Road in Molendinar just before 6.30am.

All lanes of traffic have been affected at that intersection, with severe delays eastbound on Southport Nerang Road.

Motorists are being told to avoid the area if possible, or expect delays.

Paramedics are currently on the scene, however are yet to report any serious injuries.
