Corrie fight branded 'pathetic' as viewers compare gang members to ballerinas

Coronation Street viewers were unconvinced by a fight scene as David Platt got chased down and set upon by a gang, after starting a fight with them.

Bloodthirsty viewers were disappointed by the lack of blood and gore, and when they watched closely, the fight did not look vicious at all.

one viewer tweeted: "Omg that fight with David & the police just arriving like that was pathetic. #Corrie ".

"That was the worst ruck I've ever seen in my life," added another.

"You're It. No you're It. No you're It. Worse fight ever. #Corrie " joked another.

A fourth penned: "What on earth. 4 on 1. It was like they were doing ballet. That was hardly a beating #corrie "

One viewer called the scuffle a "tickle fight", while another wrote: "Oh, I thought they were all going to give David a wedgey #Corrie ".

The police officer then ranted at David, telling him he could have been killed by the gang.

"I thought I was in control, when i was running i felt like nothing could beat me," David explained.

"I'm not in control, I guess it's time to hang up the spandex," he added.

David's bizarre behaviour has seen him deliberately start a fight and act erratically since he found out his ex partner Shona Ramsey had returned after her brain injury.

He has every right to be concerned, as Shona has suffered massive memory loss and does not remember him.

The only person she does remember is her vile son Clayton, who is in prison for kidnapping her.

But Shona only remembers him as an innocent little boy, and when she visited him in jail he started to poison her mind against David.

He lied to her and said David was violent with her and had a drinking problem - leading to a distressed Shona running out of the visiting centre in tears.
