Pandemic Voting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A group of Kentucky voters are going to court to force state officials to extend mail-in voting that will be used in next month’s primary to the November general election, citing health risks from the Covid-19 pandemic.

They are also challenging a new photo ID requirement enacted last month by the Republican-controlled Legislature, which overrode the Democratic governor’s veto of the bill.
