Video Shows Man Set Hotel Office on Fire During Attempted Robbery

Surveillance footage from a North Texas hotel captured a rather unconventional robbery attempt. The arsonist entered the Budget Host Inn in Fort Worth, TX wearing a black baseball cap and a black scarf covering his mouth and nose. The man demanded money from the office clerk before dousing the area with flammable liquid. While the arsonist continues to demand the money, the clerk begins to phone for help. At which point, the arsonist sets the liquid ablaze and heads out. The clerk suffered minor burns after getting away and the office experienced "extensive damage" according to the Forth Worth Fire Department.

The arsonist who is describe as a "Hispanic male with long hair" remains at large.
