Sea of Thieves Lost Treasures update has regular events, Tall Tale improvements, and more
Sea of Thieves
by Pulasthi AriyasingheThe monthly update schedule for remains intact as Rare today pushed out the Lost Treasures content update to the pirate adventure title. It brings in improvements to the Tall Tale story questlines, daily, weekly, and limited-time events, as well as a host of general quality of life improvements.
Starting with the Tall Tale story-driven adventures, these quests now carry multiple checkpoints, letting pirates continue a tale from where they left off during a previous session. Also, the maps on vessels will now provide information on Tall Tales through useful tooltips.
Daily, weekly, and special events have been introduced to Sea of Thieves as well. For example, the game will offer additional rewards for turning in loot during two specific windows every day, while every Friday night will bring a special event - humorously named, Fort Nights - that invites players to tackle Skeleton Fort raids for additional rewards. Head over to the new Events Hub page set up by Rare to find the exact timings and rewards that can be had from these events.
Other changes include a new weapon swapping Armoury station in the Ferry of the Damned, a separate hotkey for accessing rowboat storage to stop accidental sitting situations, purple nametags for allied crews, as well as balance changes to multiple systems. Check out the release notes of the Lost Treasures update to get a full rundown of these changes as well as bug fixes.
As usual, a large array of pirate and ship cosmetic collections have also been delivered with this update, which players can find in the Shipwright, Black Market, and Pirate Emporium stores in-game.
The Sea of Thieves Lost Treasures update is now live and the servers are back online, letting Xbox One and Windows 10 players jump in straight away. Meanwhile, on June 3, Sea of Thieves is setting sail on Steam for the first time, delivering the complete experience through the Valve platform with cross-play support.
