Google Lifts The Veil On What To Expect From The Android 11: Beta Launch Show Next Week

Google has taken the time to life the veil on what we going to see as part of the Android 11: Beta Launch Show next week. When everything kicks off on June 3 at 8AM PT.

And it is basically what we all thought it would be. Which is the Android portion of the Google I/O keynote. It is expected to be about an hour long, with a Q&A session happening after the the keynote is finished. And there will be 12 talks that were going to happen at Google I/O 2020, are going to be made available that day.

What to expect from the keynote?

Google still hasn't spilled all of the beans yet on this keynote. But it did mention that the keynote would talk about "new features packed inside the next release, Android 11, as well as updates for developers to help them get the most out of modern Android development."

Which is usually how the Android portion of the Google I/O keynote goes. Android VP Dave Burke will come out on stage and tell us what all is coming in Android 11. Of course, we have already had Android 11 for a few months now, in developer preview form. But the majority of the features have not been baked in yet. That will come next week.

Next week also brings the first beta for Android 11, hence the name of the live stream "Android 11 Beta Launch Show".

These are the talks that will be available that day

As mentioned, there are going to be 12 talks made available that day as well. These are mostly going to be for the developers out there. Though everyday users might find some interesting things in these talks.

They are also the usual round of talks that we see on the Google I/O schedule every year. So nothing too surprising here. But here's the list of talks coming next week: What's new in Android, What's new in System UI, All things privacy in Android 11, Storage access with Android 11, State of Kotlin on Android, Get Composed, What's new in Android Jetpack, What's new in Android Development Tools, What's new in Design Tools, What's new in Google Play, What's new in Play Commerce, and Screens – large, small and foldable.

So even though there isn't an official Google I/O this year, developers will still get to find out what's happening with Android this year, and get to do a deep dive on what's new.
