Man left with fractured skull after fight breaks out at Lichfield Walkabout bar

Police have released a picture of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident

A man has been left with a severe head injury after a brawl broke out at a Lichfield bar.

The victim suffered a fractured skull after he was attacked in Walkabout.

It is believed the disorder happened in the early hours of the morning on January 11.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the vicious attack.

Anyone with information about the incident has been advised to contact the force via email or by calling 101.

Officers launched the appeal today (May 27) on social media.

A spokesman for Lichfield Police said: "Do you recognise this man? We want to speak to him after a fight at Walkabout on Bird Street on January 11.

"A man suffered a fractured skull after being assaulted just before 2am. Anyone with info should call 101 or email Andrew.Bromley2@staffordshire.pnn.police.uk."

The sports bar is based in Bird Street, a popular location for revellers and restaurant-goers.

Walkabout is currently closed in line with government guidelines on curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
