Danielle's baby was overdue for more than a week before the couple made the joyful announcement.

They had been eagerly awaiting their daughter in lockdown and even suggested that Danielle could be induced if the baby didn't appear soon.

The new parents got together after being friends for 22 years before realising their romantic potential.

Danielle confirmed she’d found love again with her childhood sweetheart in September 2019, just after splitting from her boyfriend of two-and-a-half years, Daniel Spiller.

And they confirmed they were expecting just two months into their whirlwind romance.

The couple then got engaged while on their romantic baby moon in Dubai in March, when Danielle was seven months pregnant.

Showcasing her sparkling ring in a series of loved-up snaps at the time, Danielle announced their engagement on her Instagram, writing: "Feel Like The Luckiest Girl In The World Right Now... I SAID YES #imengaged."

The former TOWIE star admitted that her pregnancy hasn’t been the easiest, as she spent a lot of time in therapy after she opened up about battling prenatal depression.

Her first trimester was marred by severe morning sickness and she would often find herself sat on the sofa and crying for hours.

She told Closer magazine: "People don’t often speak about the downsides of pregnancy but hundreds of women messaged me saying they're pleased I spoke out – it’s called prenatal depression and it’s really common."

She continued: "The second trimester has been so much better.

"I've been going to therapy for a year now, because my anxiety was so bad and I'd lost one of my closest friends [Sammy Brandon, who died from breast cancer in June last year, aged 29].

"When Tom and I started dating, I told him and he's been really supportive. Now my anxiety has massively eased and I'm in a good place – but that doesn't mean I should stop going to therapy."

At the end of her pregnancy, Danielle became a little impatient because her baby was well overdue.

In a number of candid posts, she said that her ankles 'couldn't take the weight' as she struggled through the warm summer days.
