Arewa husband allegedly divorces wife of 19 years over #DancingForHusbands viral challenge

Over the Eid-al-Fitr holiday, Arewa husband allegedly divorced his wife of 19 years for getting involved in the viral #DancingForHusbands Challenge and sharing on social media.

According to a Facebook user, the #DancingForHusbands challenge involved in by some Northern women has led to the end of a 19 year marriage as a woman who was the only wife of her husband was allegedly divorced.

The man allegedly divorced his wife for sharing the intimate family video online.

Sharing the news, Sanusi Bature wrote:

“I just realized that one of my former bosses divorced his wife for releasing to the public, the #Dancingforhusbands challenge last night. The most unfortunate thing, it’s a marriage of 19 years with 3 kids, she has been the only wife in the house.”

Some other muslims have taken to the platform to slam the women getting involved in the viral challenge saying only a husband should see such video and it’s immoral to publicize it.
