Billie Eilish has released a new short film addressing the double standards women face when it comes to their body image in Hollywood.
The short film, titled Not My Responsibility, initially debuted during the Miami stop of Eilish's Where Do We Go? World Tour earlier this year. In the film, Eilish gives a monologue, narrating her complex relationship with her own body, her firm decision to conceal it, and how men don't face nearly the same amount of open criticism.
"Do my shoulders provoke you? Does my chest? Am I my stomach? My hips? The body I was born with, is it not what you wanted?" says Eilish in the film, as she removes layers of clothing.

"If I wear what is comfortable, I am not a woman. If I shed the layers, I'm a slut. Though you've never seen my body, you still judge it and judge me for it. Why?" continues Eilish before slowly disappearing into a pool of dark water.
The short film, which was praised by fans of the singer when it first debuted, echoes similar statements the "Bad Guy" singer, who notoriously dons oversized ensembles that conceal her figure, has made regarding how the media criticizes and analyzes her body.
"If I was a guy and I was wearing these baggy clothes, nobody would bat an eye. There's people out there saying, 'Dress like a girl for once! Wear tight clothes you'd be much prettier and your career would be so much better!'" said Eilish during a March 2019 interview with NME. "No it wouldn't. It literally would not."
