Liverpool fans are split over the latest transfer claim about Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore.

Troare is being linked with a host of top clubs including Liverpool ahead of the next transfer window having enjoyed an outstanding campaign.

He has scored six goals and laid on 12 assists in all competitions, making a vital contribution to Wolves' success in the Premier League and Europa League.

An £18m signing from Middlesbrough two years, Wolves stand to make a huge profit on Traore should they choose to cash in but are keen to hold onto the 24-year-old.

However, TodoFichajes reports Jurgen Klopp is determined to take Traore to Liverpool and ‘has recommended the incorporation of the player and personally telephoned’ him.

The outlet also reports talks between Liverpool and Wolves over a deal are at an 'advanced' stage.

One Liverpool fan on social media beamed: "Be happy with that he is rapid and a big unit. Klopp would make him into a superstar."

But another said: "There's no way we can afford both Werner and this guy.

"Good player but dislocated his shoulder twice so far this season and several times in the past. Is he likely to pass a medical?" asked a third.

Another said: "Hopefully that will kill any deal for him off, and we can get [Timo] Werner instead."

"Buy Werner," demanded a fifth.
