Gary Neville makes Paul Pogba Manchester United prediction

Paul Pogba should be available for Man United when the season gets back underway.

Gary Neville has predicted Manchester United will be among the teams to benefit from the long lay-off when the season resumes because they will have Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford back fit again.

The former United defender believes the fact that United and Tottenham will be able to welcome back Marcus Rashford and Pogba, and Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min respectively, could be a huge advantage for both teams when fixtures get back underway.

Premier League officials will discuss when to formally resume the season, after a return to full contact training was sanctioned on Wednesday. Neville believes the revised schedule could help Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his predecessor Jose Mourinho, now in charge of Spurs.

"I think the lockdown helps Tottenham because they get Kane and Son back," Neville said on Sky Sports. "I think it helps Manchester United because they get Pogba and Rashford back.

"I know we say that these clubs have squads because they're the big clubs but, particularly at Tottenham, you cannot lose Harry Kane and be impacted greatly.

"Son, I think is a player that can go into any team in the world. His style of play is so modern, he's a modern forward, he can play left, he can play right, he can play off the front.

"I think in some ways he's as important to Tottenham as Harry Kane, I think with Harry Kane you need Son playing alongside him. He makes the runs past that creates the space."

Solskjaer gave positive updates on both Rashford and Pogba earlier this week.

The England striker had been out since January with a double stress fracture in his back, while Pogba needed ankle surgery - having not started a game for the Old Trafford club since September 30th.
