Smallest number of new coronavirus cases across Notts since lockdown began

Latest figures from Public Health England show the number of confirmed coronavirus cases across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

There has been a small rise in the number of cases of those diagnosed with Covid-19 across the region.

There is a total of 1,388 cases in Nottinghamshire on Wednesday, May 27 - which is only an increase of five new cases compared to Monday, May 25 when there were 1,383

In Nottingham, there has only been two new cases reported. On Wednesday, May 27, there is 601 cases compared to 599 on Monday, May 25.

It is the smallest increase since lockdown started on March 23.

So far, 37,460 people have died from Covid-19 across the UK. The total number of lab-confirmed UK cases currently sits at 267,240.

These figures come as lockdown restrictions have been lifted to include unlimited outside exercise or time outdoors.

The next big date is June 15 when a number of shops and department stores are set to reopen.
