Norman Reedus has compared The Walking Dead season 10 finale to Game of Thrones – and we have no idea what to make of this.
While the HBO series was incredible for the first seven seasons, viewers complained about the ending and even petitioned to have it reshot.
So we sure hope the Daryl Dixon star is referring to the good old days of the fantasy saga.
When asked by Entertainment Weekly what fans can expect from the delayed episode, the 51-year-old promised: ‘It’s going to be an epic battle. It’s like a full-on Game of Thrones super war battle.’
And his co-stars agreed, seeing Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays Negan, add: ‘It’s going to be a big massive episode.’
While producer and director of the episode, Greg Nicotero said: ‘It’s a really amazing episode. I love the way episode 15 ends where you see Beta bringing the herd to the tower where everybody is holed up. There’s a lot teed up, so to speak.’
The upcoming installment has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak – seeing the TV industry put productions on hold in order to stall the spread of Covid-19.
But while we eagerly wait to see what the showrunner Angela Kang has in store, the cast have been teasing what’s to come – and it sounds incredible.
Talking to EW earlier this month, the 54-year-old said: ‘It will be cool having a one-off, almost a Walking Dead movie in the middle of the season, I guess.’
The actor added: ‘I think obviously things are going to come to some sort of a head with the Beta and his character.
‘We know he’s coming to wipe everybody out with his zombie horde so hopefully we’ll see that come to a head at some point.
‘There has to be some sort of battle. Greg Nicotero directed it, so it’s going to be a big massive episode for sure.’
The Walking Dead season 10 finale is expected to drop on AMC and NOWTV later this year.
