The UK’s official death toll from coronavirus has risen to 37,460 after another 412 died.

Figures were released by the Department of Health this afternoon, and included deaths in all settings including care homes.

The government said there had been 3,798,490 tests carried out, including 117,013 tests yesterday.

In total, 267,240 people have tested positive.

The new official total came after NHS England today recorded 183 more deaths in hospitals – but this does not take into account other settings like care homes.
