Shah Rukh Khan extends support to cities effected by Cyclone Amphan
by FilmfareWhenever there's a calamity in the country, you can trust Shah Rukh to come forward to help out. When corona struck, he not only contributed to PM CARES and Maharashtra’s CM Relief fund, but also gave his four-storey office for quarantine facilities in Mumbai. The actors has since been a part of several fundraisers and has continued to spread awareness about the virus.
Leading from the front once again, Shah Rukh Khan’s Indian Premiere League team, Kolkata Knight Riders took to social media to announce their support for West Bengal after the destructive Amphan cyclone hit the state a few days back. In the post, they announced that a total of 5000 tress will be planted in the city of Kolkata. This relief package also included an undisclosed amount that was donated to the CM’s relief fund. He also provided the four most effected areas, Kolkata, North and South 24 Parganas and East Medinipur with ration and essential supplies.
Here’s to SRK and his team for being front liners in times of need.
