Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best is hosting a Hidden Temple-style show for young, wannabe Jedi

I’m upset this is only for kids

A new Legends of the Hidden Temple-style show will debut on Star Wars Kids’ YouTube channel in June. Hosted by Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best, Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge will put young Star Wars fans to the test when it debuts on June 3.

Honestly, I’m mostly upset that I’m not young enough to participate.

A trailer for Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge was released on Wednesday, and it looks like so much dang fun! In the clip, the competitors — in teams of two — take on three sets challenges: There’s a strength trial on “a distant world,” where kids are running through a Star Wars obstacle course. The knowledge trial, “aboard a Jedi Star Cruiser,” looks like it will have puzzles and trivia. Those lead into the third trial, which takes place inside the “Jedi Temple,” and seems to be a mix of different obstacles. One is reminiscent of an older Nickelodeon gameshow — Nickelodeon Guts — obstacle, the Aggro Crag.

Best is the host, but two cute droids who will also help Padawans navigate through the Jedi Knight obstacle course. One of the droids, AD-3, a “wise-cracking protocol droid,” is voiced by Veep actor Mary Holland, according to StarWars.com. Sam Witwer, who voiced Darth Maul in Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ final season, will voice the show’s representation of the dark side.

Two episodes of Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge will hit StarWarsKids.com and its YouTube channel on June 3. New episodes will follow weekly. The show was first announced for Disney Plus, but it’s unclear whether it will be streaming through that service as well.
