PS5 Event Finally Happening as Early as Next Week

Trusted report says 3rd June

Rumours of a dedicated PlayStation 5 event have been rampant for weeks now and by the looks of it, they're not wrong. A new report from trusted journalists Jason Schreier and Takashi Mochizuki over on Bloomberg says that Sony is planning a PS5 digital showcase for the 3rd June -- that's Wednesday next week. It corroborates with in-the-know writer Jeff Grubb, who has been heavily hinting at the same date.

As we've come to expect at this point, the report makes it clear that, due to the ongoing coronavirus situation, things can still change -- but we now believe that there's enough evidence to suggest that this is really happening.

The article also states that Sony is not expected to reveal everything about the PS5 through this event. In other words, the Japanese giant has a lot more in store over the coming months.
