Dr Rick Norris named as cyclist killed in Brewood tractor crash

Police have released a picture of a man who was tragically killed in a tractor collision.

Dr Rick Norris was involved in a fatal crash when his bike collided with a tractor on Gunstone Lane - just outside of Wolverhampton.

Medics were called to the scene, but despite their best efforts the 61-year-old cyclist was pronounce dead.

The tractor had been carrying a trailer at the time of the crash at around 2.45pm on May 25.

Specialist Staffordshire Police officers are supporting the victims family.

An appeal has been launched to encourage witnesses and motorists with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.

A spokesman for the force said: "Dr Rick Norris, from the Brewood area, sadly died following the collision with a tractor carrying a trailer on Gunstone Lane on the Chillington Estate at 2.45pm.

"Despite the efforts of emergency services, 61-year-old Rick was sadly pronounced dead at the scene and specialist officers are supporting his family at this difficult time.

"An investigation is underway and officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing to appeal for any witnesses that may have seen the cyclist or tractor prior to the collision to come forward.

"Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who may have any dash-cam footage or any other information that may assist with the investigation."
