Armed man tried to rob Port Tennant shop

The attempted robbery happened at a Premier Store in Port Tennant Road

A man armed with a weapon attempted to hold up a convenience store in Swansea’s eastside.

The man, described as white and in his late 40s, entered the Premier Store in Port Tennant Road at around 7.25pm on Tuesday evening, May 27.

Police said he was armed with a weapon, but have declined to say what the weapon was.

South Wales Police are now appealing for information.

A spokesman said: “A man entered the store with a weapon before leaving empty-handed.

“The suspect is described as white, aged in his late 40s, of skinny build, about 5ft 4ins tall, with short facial stubble which looked ginger or light coloured."
