Watch: Winning for Women Blasts Democrats' #MeToo Hypocrisy in New Ad

by

A group comprised of, and in support of, Republican women is the latest organization to hit the airwaves attacking Democrats for hypocrisy on the handling of sexual assault allegations. Winning for Women (W4W) works to create a network of right-of-center women, and elect more GOP candidates to office. The 501(c)(3) group’s leadership includes former Sen. Kelly Ayotte, and its resources are utilized by high-profile GOP lawmakers, including Reps. Elise Stefanik (NY) and Liz Cheney (WY) and Sens. Martha McSally (AZ), Joni Ernst (IA), Susan Collins (ME) and others.

W4W’s new ad features Democratic leaders including Speaker Pelosi, Sens. Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams and Joe Biden himself; it shows these high-profile Democrats demanding that women be believed without question when a Republican was accused of misconduct.

The ad uses the words of Tara Reade, who accuses Joe Biden of sexual misconduct, to highlight Democratic hypocrisy:

“We can come forward unless it’s a Democrat? Is that the message we’re sending?”

Many of those targeted in the ad are on the shortlist to be Biden’s vice president. Each contender has managed to take hypocritical, but politically convenient, stances on the #MeToo movement.

“Democrats stand with women only when it’s politically convenient. Their hypocrisy was on full display after they failed to meet their own standard on sexual assault,” said Olivia Perez-Cubas, spokeswoman for W4W, in a release. “While the Left has long claimed to be the party of women, they have proven once again that they are only the party of certain women. As a women’s group, Winning For Women is committed to exposing the double standard and hypocrisy.”

Democrats claimed #MeToo as a movement to champion, but continue to display hypocrisy on the handling of sexual misconduct allegations. The alleged “party of women” uses the movement for votes as an avenue for political gain, and selectively shows care and concern for misconduct allegations, depending upon the ideology of the accused.
